The Inhassoro Johnny Harel Memorial Billfish Competition will take place from October 13th to October 18th, following the same exciting rules as the Marlin Championship.
Teams of up to 6 anglers will compete for the coveted title by aiming to bring in a marlin weighing over 800 pounds. But the excitement doesn’t stop there! This year, we’re incorporating the innovative Keepnet app to track and facilitate the safe release of other species.
If a marlin over 800 pounds isn’t caught, anglers can still score points by recording their catches of any marlin under 800 pounds, as well as sailfish and spearfish. Marlin under 800 pounds will earn 150 points, while sailfish and spearfish each score 30 points.
**This competition features a special twist: the first fish caught will earn a bonus of 50 points! However, once the competition concludes, these points will be deducted from the overall Marlin Championship score.
