We're back for 2024!
A community fishing competition to promote catch and release and raise some money for the local Marine Rescue.
How the day looks:
- Anglers meet at Palm Beach for registration and briefing where they collect their token and any merch they have ordered. There will be a quick overview of the rules before Anglers are given the go ahead and can begin fishing.
- Anglers who will be fishing by boat are encouraged to drive their boats to registration to avoid disrupting the public with unnecessary traffic.
- Anglers upload a photo/video of their catches via the Keepnet app.
- Fish must be placed on a brag mat, with the token next to it and the entire fish in the photo with the measurements displayed clearly. Officials will disqualify any catches where the photo is not clear or the token/measurements are not displayed.
- The competition will close at 1pm. No catches will be counted after 1pm.
- Anglers make their way to Palm Beach Reserve and park their boats for presentation.
- All anglers recieve a sausage sizzle to enjoy whilst waiting for scoring to take place.
- Competition winners announced and prizes awarded.
- Day concludes approximately 3pm.
