THE PGF TOURNAMENT

Location: 

  • Lakes In Play : Stillhouse Hollow Lake , Lake Austin, Lake Travis, Granger Lake, Lake Walter E. Long , Lake Fayette , Lake Lyndon B. Johnson , Lady Bird Lake 

Qualifying Fish Species : 

Largemouth Bass 

Standard Rules of Comp 

  1. All Fish must be submitted through the Keepnet App, Available for download from both the Android play store and Apple App Store (IOS)
  2. Only Fish caught on the above "lakes in Play" between tournament start dates and finish dates.
  3. Length-only tournament using recognised and calibrated measure sticks. List below
  4. Video standards need to be strictly adhered to for the validation of fish to be successful.
  5. Minimum qualifying length = 12(Inches) 
  6. Only fish measured through the Keepnet App will count, videos outside of the Keepnet app will not be accepted.
  7. No live bait allowed! Strictly artificial lures only. 
  8. Fish caught between the following times will count 5:00 am and 8:00 pm

Video Standards

Tournament video standards through the Keepnet Weigh Bay app.

  1. Make sure you have logged into the respective tournament you are competing in. "THE PGF TOURNAMENT " through the Keepnet App. By joining the tournament you will be issued a QR Code or Password by email. 
  2. Calibrated Measure Boards only – List above of accepted scales. 
  3. Once your fish has been boated alive, you will need your measure board and your phone, 
  4. Open the Keepnet App on your phone. Making sure you are entered into the correct tournament.
  5. Press the Add Fish button.
  6. Press the RED record button shown on the video interface.
  7. Once recording has started (Numbers will start counting in Red).
  8. Place your live fish on your measure board, the head of the fish and mouth closed to the left dorsal facing away from you. 
  9. The tail of the fish facing the right, can be fanned but not pinched. 
  10. The video must clearly show the whole fish in one frame. 
  11. State your name and the tournament you are fishing.
  12. State the length of the fish as you see it, as verbal validation 
  13. Make sure the camera is in focus, blurred videos will not be accepted. 
  14. While continuing to record releases your fish alive. 
  15. Once the fish is released, stop recording your video and you will be prompted to enter the length of the fish as stated in the video.
  16. The app will automatically cull your smallest fish and score your top 5 longest fish.

Catch and Release:
 

This is a full catch-and-release tournament, Dead fish will not be validated.  

Validation:

Validation of fish uploaded through the Keepnet app will be at the discretion of the Tournament Organisers / Director, with strict adherence to the video standards. The tournament Organisers / Directors' decision is final.  

Fishing Permit:
 

A valid Fishing permit from Texas Parks Required
